Smart Products Develops New Line
of Barbed Valves for Inline Applications
 As a spin off from our popular #111 and #118 models, our latest project is a bi-directional prototype specifically for inline applications. This new series of barbed valves are designed to be inserted into any tubing application, and they allow for flow regulation in the desired direction. The design essentially combines two valves into one with more sizes available ranging from ¼” (6.35mm) to 5/8” (15.88mm).
Compact and easily inserted into soft tubing, Series 100 Barbed Valves are an affordable flow control solution for applications varying from coffee makers to kidney dialysis machines and beyond.
When creating the latest and greatest invention, Series 100 Barbed Valves are a beneficial design consideration because they eliminate the need for extra components (i.e. clamps), which can mean design and production savings. Additionally, the design of barbed valves works especially well to eliminate leaks because the barbs grip inside soft tubing versus an external placement.
